Sales rose by 18% over the year

M.Video has released its results for the first quarter of 2026, reporting a marked increase in refrigerator sales on the Russian market.

Russian refrigerator market growth

Unit sales climbed by 18%, reaching 723,000 appliances compared with 614,000 a year earlier. In value terms, however, the market grew by only 4%, to 27.8 billion roubles.

Budget refrigerators drive demand

The lower-priced segment was the key growth driver: the share of refrigerators costing under 24,000 roubles rose from 19% to 29%, while premium models priced above 49,000 roubles lost ground, falling from 32% to 25%. As a result, the average transaction value declined by roughly 5–6%, while prices within categories also moved downwards due to competition and a broader product range.

Refrigerator brands and demand structure

According to the company, conventional two-compartment models still account for more than 75% of sales, meaning the demand mix has changed very little. By unit volume, the top three brands are Indesit, Haier and Beko, excluding retailers’ own brands. In value terms, the market structure differs slightly, with Haier, Indesit and LG making up the leading three.

At the same time, pressure from new brands and retailers’ own-label ranges is increasing.
